Corrections Policy

We make mistakes sometimes. When we do, we want to know, and we want to fix them in the open.

How to report an error

Email admin@sportsline.news with the link to the article, what you believe is wrong, and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information.

What we do

• We review every report and check it against reliable sources.
• If we confirm an error of fact (a wrong score, name, date, statistic or quote), we correct the article as soon as we can.
• Corrected articles show an "Updated" date. Where an error changed the meaning of a story, we add a short note to the article saying what was corrected.
• If an article cannot be supported by reliable sources, we may remove it.

What is not a correction

Disagreeing with an opinion, or a result that was later revised by the organisers after we published it, is not necessarily an error on our part; where results are revised, we update the article. Typing and formatting mistakes are fixed without a note.

Directory profiles

Inaccurate information in an athlete, coach, academy or facility profile should be reported to the same address; profile owners can also edit their own listing from their dashboard.
