One of the defining periods of Raut’s career was India’s run to the final of the 2017 Women’s ODI World Cup. She scored 381 runs during the tournament, including an innings of 86 in the final against England. India finished runners-up after losing the final by nine runs.
During the same tournament, Raut also scored a century against Ireland and shared a 320-run opening partnership with Deepti Sharma, a landmark stand in women’s ODI cricket.
In her retirement message, Raut described wearing the India jersey as a source of immense pride and gratitude. She also indicated that she wants to give back to the game in the next phase of her journey.
Although her international playing career has ended, Raut’s performances across formats and contribution to India’s 2017 World Cup campaign remain significant parts of her record.
